Forefront - may be able to help.
Forefront is an interdenominational alliance of Church leaders and mental health professionals seeking to support local churches make the best possible response to issues concerning mental illness, within their congregations and in their local communities.
Forefront is committed to the ‘Lausanne Covenant 1974' and ‘The Gospel of Jesus Christ: an Evangelical Celebration,' as our theological foundation.. (see pages 23-34 of our Rules of Association - in the download section).
Forefront requires its members to comply with the relevant legislation and ethical standards of the individual professional associations of which they are affiliates.

- equipping church workers with knowledge, skills and resources to better integrate mental health issues into their ministry
- continuous research into studying mental illness from a Biblical worldview,
- continuous research into the best evidence based care
- networking with other credible service agencies
- continuous evaluation of our performance in fulfilling our Vision

Prayerfully consider the needs of your congregation and discuss them with your pastor and church leadership. If they agree to proceed then contact Forefront for a consultation. Note: contact must be with the approval of your church leadership.
We can then discuss your needs, organise an assessment and explore available support services.

To become a member you must;
- be a Christian and be on the membership roll of a Christian Church and be in good standing in that church.
- have read, and assent to, the doctrinal basis of the Association (pages 23-34 of our Rules of Association)
- have read, and agree with, the Statement of Purposes (page 2 of our Rules of Association) the Vision, Values and Mission of the Association (in the downloads section). It costs nothing to join Forefront, but the annual membership subscription is $50.00.
